Before I die......in a new location!!

Odd title but a simple explanation you'll be glad to hear. The Before I Die project has changed location from Seven Arts, where we resided for 2 successful months, to Heart in Headingley.

Highlights so far:

Before I die I want to marry a bear
Before I die I want to marry a panda (a definite animal marriage theme developing here)
Before I die I want to become enlightened
Before I die I want to travel the world

It will be here for a few weeks longer so please get down there if you get a chance before it dies for good.

Before I die I want to.......

The "Before I die" community art project went live on Saturday 6th July for 4 weeks and is a project that encourages people to reflect on their lives and to share their dreams and aspirations in a public space.

As part of the project a large chalkboard was erected at Seven Arts, Chapel Allerton with lots of chalk and people were left to do with it what they want. Two weeks in the project has been a great success with the board almost filled up within days. There are some fantastic replies and you can read more about this at http://beforeidie.cc/site/leeds/ or pop down. It will be there for a couple more weeks at least.

Wed 5th June - Law of Attraction: How to apply 'The Secret' with Kirsty Champion

The third MICA took place on Wednesday 5th June with Kirsty Champion on The Law of Attraction.
'The Secret' was born from ancient knowledge that as we think and feel, a corresponding frequency is sent out into the universe that attracts back to us events and circumstances on that same frequency. For example, if you think angry thoughts and feel angry, it is claimed that you will attract back events and circumstances that cause you to feel more anger. Conversely, if you think and feel positively, you will attract back positive events and circumstances. The Secret claims that health, wealth, and happiness can be attracted simply by changing one's thoughts and feelings.

Learn how to put this 'law' in to force and what the crucial component is to enable you to start using The Secret to improve your life in every way possible. In this interactive evening, you will learn how this philosophy works and will learn the tools to enable you to start using it to improve your life, immediately.

Learn to empower yourself and take control of your experience by learning to master your mind!

Wed 6th March 2013 - Myers Briggs Type Indicator with Rob Billson

The first MICA talk took place on 6th March with Rob Bilson (MBTi Practitioner) on Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Myers Briggs is an instrument that enables us to appreciate important differences between people, and understand how different types can work together in a complimentary way.

The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.
